What do I need to know?

Reading these important basics before confirming your order will help to make your transaction a great one:

  • For same day delivery, orders must be received by 1pm. Orders received after this time will be delivered on the next business day
  • We typically complete all business deliveries by 4.30pm, and all residential deliveries by 5.30pm.
  • We do not deliver on Sundays or Public Holidays 
  • Any orders that are taken for non-delivery days will be delivered on the next business day
  • Multiple bunches going to separate addresses must be put through as separate orders.

Whats the go during Covid times?

Obviously a lot is changing during this time and we are adapting week-by-week to accommodate as much as we can. We are working with a smaller team, and are currently operating as ONLINE ONLY. We offer free delivery to a lot of areas when ordered online. Our shop-front remains closed to the public for the foreseeable future, however we are there working on online orders generally between 10am & 2pm. We cannot deliver to the hospital, businesses or nursing homes at the moment, which we realise is inconvenient but the health & safety of our staff and the public is still our main priority. We are trying to practice no-contact deliveries, which again is not our normal way but these are far from normal times! We will leave the items at the front door, snap a photo, knock/ring the doorbell and leave. 

The Shop

We now have a shop front! It is located at 26 Shakespeare St (next to Angie's Cake Emporium & The Shaky Spear). Our opening hours are Monday - Wednesday 9.30am-5pm, Thursday & Friday 9am-5.30pm & Saturday 9am-1pm. Sundays we spend with our family. We are proud of our shop and the beautifully curated gifts we have filling the shelves.

Can you tell me about the flowers, and the gifts?

We source our flowers from growers around Victoria, and always from Australia. The flowers are picked up by the team once a week in Melbourne, and another fresh delivery comes to our door later in the week. We keep a smaller amount of stock than a regular florist which means that sometimes we may sell out; but this also ensures a higher turnover of stock therefore fresher flowers for you. We pride ourselves on being different to the run-of-the-mill shops (no gerbera boxes in sight!) so you will see an array of different, unique blooms in our jars & in the shop. If you have a specific request for a certain type of flower, by all means ask and we will endeavour to source them for you. 

Our gifts are all handmade by local artisans - sourced from Gippsland or Melbourne. We don't believe in mass-production; everything you see in store is unique & often one-of-a-kind. By supporting local makers we are keeping our local economy alive.

 

What happens if the recipient isn't home?

Their flowers will be left out of the weather as close to the front door as possible. A card filled out with delivery information will be left in their letterbox. You will receive a confirmation email upon delivery.

Do you do events?

We can cater for events, absolutely. We also cater for funerals. A minimum of one weeks notice is required for all event orders. Please call us to arrange!

Do you make boxed arrangements and sell balloons?

Due to our environmental policies, we do not make traditional foam based boxes or sell balloons. Our 'pot arrangements' use foam, but they are the only exception and we are trialling ways to get rid of this nasty stuff completely! We are happy to deliver balloons with flowers if they are provided to us at point of sale.

What arrangement is most suitable for my occasion?

We get asked a lot what flowers are best to send as a sympathy arrangement, or for a birthday, anniversary etc... we say, its completely up to you! Everyone is different and we don't believe in the traditional 'rules'. However, we understand that you might want a bit of advice and suggest the following:

Sympathy - bespoke bouquet in classic white & green, 'just' bouquet of roses or lilies

21st - bright & colourful posy jar or bespoke bouquet

Thank You - posy jar (small gesture), bouquets, gift pack (we have a specific /thank you gift pack!)

We recommend keeping the recipient in mind when ordering them flowers - what they like, what their house decor is like etc as opposed to what you personally prefer. Remember, they are the ones that get to enjoy them for the next couple of weeks!

Can I provide my own card/chocolates/gifts?

We have a beautiful selection of cards from Australian designers, as well as local chocolates & gifts. We understand that you may want to provide your own things to be delivered with our flowers but we cannot send these out in our bags or with our branding if they haven't come from our store. Please provide your own gift bag with these items!

How do the bouquets come presented?

As the name suggests, our Posy Jars come presented in a prettied-up glass jar. We try and use recycled jars where possible and welcome donations of jars with open arms!

Bespoke Bouquets come wrapped in our signature paper with the stems in a gel water source - this gel is environmentally friendly and can be dug into your garden once you have popped your flowers into fresh water. Our larger Bespoke Bouquets ($110+) will come with a complimentary glass vase. 

Can I pick up a bunch?

If you are after something specific you are welcome to pre-order it online and select 'pick up in store' when checking out. Otherwise, we're just like a normal florist (sort of!) in that we have a selection of pre-made bouquets & jars ready to go. We also have a unique 'posy bar' where all flowers on display are priced per stem - only have a couple of dollars? No problem! Want a bit of creative control and choose your own flowers? Too easy! Pop in store to see what we have available as it varies week to week. 

Do you deliver on weekends?

We deliver Monday to Friday only. Saturdays are generally our wedding setup days, so all hands are on deck to do that, as well as having the shop open for browsing. On wedding-free weekends, we like to spend time with our families!

What payments do you accept?

Credit Card, Google Pay, Apple Pay or AfterPay payments are required at point of sale when ordering online. We accept Visa, Mastercard & Cash in store.
