Some things are just meant to be, so much more in the case of Kayla & Simon. This lovely couple tied the knot in September, on a beautiful, sunny spring day in Noojee. I had the absolute pleasure of creating colourful vintage style bouquets for Kayla, her bridesmaid Amanda & flower girl Ainsley, as well as matching cake flowers.
Dress & venue dramas didnt dampen their spirits, as Kayla describes the best day as her life as emotional and so full of love - everything they ever dreamed of.

How did you and Simon meet?
I worked with a few close members of his family and we just kept running in to each other at work and socially! We quickly built a friendship that eventually turned in to something more, and I cancelled plans to move away so we could be together.
How did he propose?
Simon proposed on a surprise holiday to Port Douglas that he had planned for my birthday (New Years Day). On NYE we went out for dinner & then a walk on the beach, where he proposed. It was perfect!
What was your favourite part of planning your wedding?
My favourite part of planning was spending time together picking music & writing our vows - we didnt realise how special it was and just how much we would love choosing those unique parts of our day.
What is your favourite memory of the day?
Seeing Simon as I walked down the aisle, all of the emotion of the lead-up to this moment bought us closer together & we were both so emotional & happy. Also, dancing the night away with our bridal party and knowing that everyone had a fantastic time celebrating!
